Designers are not the only ones that deserve credit at the end of a fashion show. Make up artist from across the globe are using there own creativity that are being sought after by designer themselves. The media industries of film, television and of cores fashion all rely on the specialized skills of makeup artists to communicate style and image. Eye make up has also made its way in to the arena of art as the uniqueness and beauty captures the eye of the public. As the top five make up artist in the fashion industry, Charlie Green, Gucci Westman, Pat Mcgarth, Sam fine, and Tom Pechuex create gorgeous look that top of the designer collection. Though most of the time the designers clothes override the makeup look, one would say that the look wouldn't be the same without the touch of makeup. Each beauty look is created by the fashion collections shape, tones and characteristics. With these simple aspects allows everything to work together. The makeup, the lighting, and the choice of the run way setting, all coheres in to a beauty master piece coherent with art. the use of make up can Chang the appearance of ones face, add to a look and definitely make an out fit complete.

Paris Fashion Week: Wanda Nylon | Fall Winter 2017/2018 Full Fashion Show | Exclusive
Wanda Nylon Has and amazing edgy futuristic style as her beautiful designs showcase Bold line, Contrasting tones, dramatic movement, and neutralized geometric shape that is absolutely stunning. I chose this particular show because it was eye catching. Personally this style of dress is right up my ally with fur coats, stunning suits and bold shoes. Literally everything you need for a fashionista starter pack is assembled with such beauty during this fashion show. Throughout the show there was many trends such as black and white colors, fine and lavish textures, neutralized geometric shaped, dramatic movement and more. Realistically the main trend of the show was the simplistic looks with a pop. One that will definitely turn heads at that. I felt ecstatic and overwhelmed by the amount of beauty and glam that was in the show. making this particular designers one of my favorite. Never the less the theme of the fall fashion collection was that one can be warm while still carrying a fashionable appearance.

Social and Political Statement: Fashion Designer Anniesa Haibuan
Through judgment, discrimination, and micro aggression the oppressed must find a way to not let the negative take the better of them. As this allows the help of eliminating these misconceptions and the growth of diversity to prosper. Anniesa Haibaun a Indonesian Muslim fashion designer has done just that as "Fashion is open to the world," said Haibuan "It should be providing opportunities for everybody." With that in mind Anniesa Defied the odds by creating a modern fashion look with a twist. Thus helping to eliminate the misconception that Muslim women are oppressed. For her fashion has a political statement that her fashion and she stands for, the rights threatened by Trump's administration (reproductive health, incivility, diversity and immigration). Personally I have had many run is with discrimination, micro aggression, and misconceptions of who and what I am as a "human being". Never-the-less have I let that drag me down or stop me from accomplishing my goals. In fact it has only mead me have more passion, motivation and determination for everything i put my mind to. I currently am in a fashion class, a subject in witch I knew few about but am gaining more knowledge by the day. As fashion is a form of art and a way to express ones self I feel that Anniesa Hiabuan is and influential women who has a very bright future ahead of her.

fashion and Epiphinaies
Throughout the Garment Construction Project i have found out more about fashion with the hands on activities then i have since starting to sew when i was 9. When taking on this project i realized that it was going to be harder then i thought to construct the garment. As fur and whool are not only thick fabrics but need a bit of an advanced hand. Then the epiphany hit me as the reality of a fur coat became more present that i am capable of doing a lot more then i though when i put my mind to it. I fortunately got in this class and even without knowing much about sewing other then pulling fabric through the machine. I was amazed at how my other capabilities help in the creation of my work. So far i have practically finished my fur vest all i gave to do is add the lining and sew together the sides. i am proud of how my fur turned out at the bottom part of my vest. Then al i have t do is add the button and presto i am finished.

Fur With A Splash Of Color
2016 was the time for fur and is gradually becoming more appealing to the youth in forms of outerwear and accessories. Weather fake or real with bold colors, fur has transformed the world is it allows one to express individuality and uniqueness. Fur not only influenced the world of women but men as well with fur trims on puffer coats. The common minimalist might say fur adds too much glam to an outfit. Yet fur has backfired and turned in to the desire if peoples dreams. On a business trip, dinner, function, and a casual trip to the grocery store a fur coat and or accessory becomes the best choice as fur looks great for any occasion. Designers Biannual, Zadig & Voltaire, Knuckles together made a trend that has also helped cultural moments such as equal rights, women and minorities. Fendi, Salvertore Ferranamo, Gucci, Vercase and Roberty all have made fur packed in to the 2016 display. unsurprisingly fur is continually becoming a popular look for outerwear for both men and women. With the ability to express yourself in you own way with the help of one trend set a loop for popularity and charm.

Seek To Be Saught
I am not scared of colleges and or employers looking at my social media posts. As everything i post is about happy memories or post of inspiration for the people who follow me. So some day in the near future i and others can look at the things i have accomplished in my life. In my life i have made blogs and articles, so to know that my writings have been seen by peers would be great news. i also do not post anything that will effect my future as everything stays on the web even when deleted. This is why it is better to post what will better you and others. Over all what i post is what i want people to see not what i might be ashamed of. all my accomplishments, awards, memories, quotes, article, blogs, papers they are all for the eye of whom ever follows me.

Pastel Goth Fashion
Over the years on might have noticed that fashion in history has repetition. A style you once seen 30 years ago might have come back but with a modern twist. Occasionally the style of dress will be made into a whole new look for instance, goth has become the more popular as a choice of style in the last 5 years. Though this form of fashion has never went away it surly has become more appealing. Pastel goth has practically brought dark goth to a lighter world. With an array of neon, pastel, and bright colors that make most people want to scream. Obviously being the reason of its sudden popularity. As this trend becomes more popular to the world one my notice a couple of trends like the iconic pastel pink and baby blue, platform boots, thick heels and chokers with a couple of beauty looks too. To go back to the origins of this look, gothic fashion is a clothing style marked by consciously dark, mysterious clothing worn by goth subculture for both male and female. Today the look doesn't symbolize darkness but a style if dress just like sports, casual, formal and lazy wear. All of witch have many styles trends, and looks.

History of The Zipper in Fasfhion
The zipper has kept people together forever. The zipper is currently apart of everyday fashion so it is easily taken for granted. Elias Howe invented the sewing machine in 1815 "for an "automatic continuous clothing closure" Marry Bellis infers. Colonel Lewis Walker and Whitcomb both had parallel ideas to make a closure of a garment easier so together the created a universal, fastener company to help manufacture closures (clasp lockers). Gideon Sunback's idea to create a system to increase the amount of fastener of a garment by 4 to 11 per inch. that has two facing rows of teeth that are then pulled together and closed by a slider. Boots and tobacco bags were the first to have this new invention of the time. Up until 1930, children's clothes were made with zippers this then halped children learn self-reliance. In 1937 French Designers raved over the new invention of the zipper they called it "Battle of The Fly" today the is everywhere with thousand of miles of it being produced daily to help meet the needs of the people.

Oscar Ceremony of 2016
The 89th annual academy award ceremony, A.K.A the Oscars was held February 26, 2017 to announce and honors the best films, actors and actresses of 2016. Hundreds of millions of movie lovers sit in front of their television, tuning in to watch the amazing Oscars. With live performances, memorials, and more, sit in anticipation to see celebrities of all kinds get nominated and or awarded for their acting. Some people even feel strong emotionally about actors and actresses as they portray themselves in movies that might have gotten someone out of a rough patch, through a long night, a summer day, a breakup, eta. As this is a big night for the actors and actresses as well as the audience the best looks and appearances is needed. The night was definitely filled with glam and couture from top to bottom not one look was disaster. One look everyone can say stole the night for me Janelle Monae in Elie Saab Couture, struts her way on to the red carpet with her chin up and no F*#ks to give. the gown was black, gold and white, with beautiful design and a silhouette for days that flatters not only her body and personality. this is the dress that caught my eye simply because if the bold look and color, to me it would have stole the night even if held on a clothes hanger. never the liss there were three trend of the night, fitted dresses -Luciana Barroso, Busy Philips in Elisabeth Kennedy, and Priyanka Chopra in Ralph & Russo, Cinderella dresses - Kristen Bunst in Dior Haute Couture, Jenelle Monae in Elie Saab Couture and Selma Hayek in Alexander Mcgueen and finally all black tuxedos like Mahershala Alie in Armanegildo Zgna, black and white suits such as Matt Damon's, and what and black tuxedos such as Dev Patel in a custome burbary. These trends created an atmosphere of strong personality, wealth, and recognition. This to me is why Designers dress Actors and actresses in the garment to gain publicity, recognition, and credibility. Overall the night was a spectacular to all and was the highlight to all actors and actresses of the year.

Best and Worst of the Grammy's
The 59th annual Grammy awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles brought out music's brightest stars and some of live TV’s biggest moments. We can pretty much say in confidence that we’ve seen just about everything at the Grammy’s. Surprising enough, the Grammy’s red carpet exposed more skin than most of the other award ceremonies held for celebrities. The best look of the night was Adele’s beautiful dress that was more than flattering to her body but to her personality. From the beautiful forest green color to the bold lines and designs, her outfit from head to toe was nothing but glamorous. When there is a best dressed there is definitely a worst. As stars hit the red carpet for music's biggest night on sunday in an array of outrageous fashion. Surprisingly enough it wasn't Lady Gaga who showed up in the most risque outfit of the night. Though Lady Gaga did show much skin, Hasley had everyone popping out of there seats when she showed up at the Grammy’s in a blue silk outfit that looked like there was a accident waiting to happen. While Girl Crush struts her way down the red carpet in a gown that looks as though she jumped into a ball pit a few moments before arriving. Heidi Klum also wore a see through, silver, above the knee dress that one can obviously see her black bra and underwear. But nevertheless, these three celebrities weren't the worst dressed of the evening, though there outfit left most people speechless. Jacqueline Van Dierk wore a dress covered in CD’s, literally leaving everyone baffled. This dress would possibly be flattering without the CD’s and Jacqueline in the dress, but overall the gown was nothing but hideous. It literally looks as though she walked into a record store and covered herself in her favorite albums. Though the night was a huge hit for most of the celebrities, the Grammy’s showcase fashion that is in no way comparable to lets say the Oscar’s. Celebrities wear outfits to show off and make there own appearance, to dignify their own unique abilities as an artist. The Oscar’s on the other hand show actors and actresses in the best and most elaborate outfits and glamour yet. To dignify their own self as a successful artist as well. Celebrities most likely risk wearing such outrages outfits to make a point of who they are as individuals and why they stand out. For the best and worst dressed celebrities at the Grammy’s i hope you made the impression you wanted to make.

Mccall's Pattern Co.
Mccall Pattern company founded in 1863 Mccall Co. has been mining to the future posting images from it's impressive archive to social media sites. This a part of the plan to inspire and spark curiosity among the youth. Many of whom never were taught to sew in school. To do so posting archive photos and turning popular sewing bloggers to designers. In sewing and fashion design a pattern is the template from which the parts of a garment are traced onto fabric before being cut out and assembled. Patterns are typically made of paper and are sometimes made of sturdier materials. The Maccall Pattern Company is privately owned, world wide company that designs, manufactures, and sells sewing patterns under the brand names Butterwick, Kwik Sew, Mccalls, and Vogue patterns. Ms. Brooks-Revis started a fashion blog and discovers sewing as a way to make a continuous wardrobe on a budget. The best part of it all is the customization of a pattern to alter garments." Sewing patterns were, in a sense the original fast fashion: quick, affordable, and stylish, before the 20$ H&M dress"states the article. Mccalls Employees. Create constancy in the patterns it creates for decades. thus creating a family atmosphere based on trust. Unfortunately Malls has faced business challenges do to the way people shop. this is where fast fashion cripples business and the economy.

On this particular day berry colors seems to steal the light thus creating a new trend. Lines, floral embroidery designs also stole the light as Gina Rodrigez and Emma Stone both rock the red carpet in there beautiful gowns. Nevertheless the style of dress and suit always sets the foundation of a new trend. For this years new trends is deep v necklines in suits and dresses and simplistic accessories. when viewing all the actors and actresses outfits one stood out to me the most. Emma Stone in Alexander Mcqueen for me, stole the spotlight from her hair to the jewelry and especially the dress for me, add to the wow factor of her appearance. Her beautiful gown screamed elegance with the floral embroidery and shriek with the lace top.

"The True Cost" For What Extent
The other day I saw a very inspiring film that talked about how fast fashion in the fashion industry has ruined our economy and has created more injustices to the people of our planet. From that particular film it stated some things that we the people can do to help change tis problem and make a difference.
Some things we as a society can do in order to make a change and stop the negative effects of “Fast Fashion” are to. Stop and recognize/ research the main contributors to fast fashion and allow yourself to limit the amount you spend at those stores, if it is a place you shop at. This will then shorten the demand of fast fashion for the main contributors and will eventually help our economy. Now one might think how can myself, one individual make a difference. Well your effort in shortening the demand will also inspire others to do the same and from there it will cause a chain reaction. That's if you inform your friends of this horrible outbreak. Another way is by thrifting for clothes you like will inhibit in yourself recycling clothes that would otherwise end up in a dump. Every year and average individual will dump 82 pounds of clothes per year wich in the united states adds up to millions of pound of clothes a year. Only ten percent of those clothes make it into america's’ GoodWill and thrift stores. The other 90% goes to other third world countries including Haiti. Fun fact, isn't it a bit ironic that third world countries produces great sums of clothes for the americas and uk, etc. Just to find that those clothes that the shed blood and tears on are going to end up right on their own backs in a couple of years. It is important to thrift because one garment will spend 200 to 300 years just to break down and with the help or your recycling this problem can be reduced. Anything will help. Nevertheless it is very important to learn what ‘Fast Fashion” does to our economy, the workers/people and its true cost. The true cost of “Fast Fashion is that there are people who die, who don't see their children but twice a year, who starve, who get beaten , who fall sick of pollution, who only make 10$ a month, who farm at the risc of their own lives. At the brink of it all The true cost is death, illness, poverty, pollution, social inequalities, corruption, and children left without their parents. All for what exactly, to make 52 Different trends a year which result in new trends every week. That will unfortunately end up with consumers throwing out more clothes because it has gone out of style. There is a huge chain reaction from then on that only causes more and more problems to our economy and society. Do Not support “Fast Fashion’’ as the only thing you will be gaining from it is subconscious guilt.
Not only that but marketing campaigns advertise fashion that is disposable much like rolls of paper towels. I personally do not agree with this because i do not believe that fashion should ever be thought about as disposable. Nor do i believe that clothes should ever be thought of as just things. For i know that there are people in this world who do not have either clothes and or money to even buy them. This then makes me grateful to have clothes on my back weather they are hand me downs, designer or from the thrift store. Marketing Campaigns we can all agree, only show and tell you what the people / consumers want to here. Advertisement compares fashion to things we use instead of things we need. This then makes people think that fashion is like face wash, cotton swabs etc. Fashion should not be made to look like this because it results in overspending which leads to more cloths being thrown away, the more clothes thrown away the more social injustice and economic problems. We are consumers but one shouldn't think of us as a money machine but people. As we all look to gain more money we also subconsciously are make ourselves poorer. This is because we give away our money like we throw away our clothes and from then on the cycle continues.
After watching this film i definitely will be putting in more effort into helping my planet and the people who live on it. To achieve this i will shop less at the contributing stores, will thrift shop more, will recycle used clothes to make better ones, will limit the amount of clothes i throw away, and will try to buy sustainable fashion. In my life i have learned to give back to others as it not only give me satisfactory but gives me a purposeful feeling knowing that i have done my part in changing the world. Weather it is small or not. So as i watched this movie i noted all the things i can do to change the economy and social injustice as i already have paid my dues to discriminations of mankind. My purpose in life is to be the best individual i can be and in order to due so i follow my heart. My heart today says that doing this will be one of the things i will never forget and will always cherish. For the sanctity of the people is my personal goal. One individual can make a difference and one individual can change history. I might not do either of theses but at the end of the day i know i have done my part.

From Sketch to Reality- Wedding Dresses from Toilet Paper
In the first week of my Fashion Design and Textile art Myself and one other collaborated together to make a avant garde body suit/ dress. Together we designed a dress that combined Lady Gaga's style with Beyonce's. To describe our dress it had long broad shoulder that stuck out like a 80's blazer. With a deep v neck that stops at the empire waist, form there an elegant bottom body suit would pull the across the body from the use of vertical line. Every wedding dress should have a train so the design had a train that would connect from the shoulders down in to a tuxedo tail. Which Begun to look so beautiful in the sketch we couldn't wait to get started. As time goes on we as group realized this dress is going to be really hard to make. This is because when making the original design we did not incorporate hte fact that our fabric is toilet paper. At the end of the day i was proud of the work my partner and i had accomplished but we both realized took on a bit more then we could chew. Fortunately our group went from 2 partners to 4 in a matter of four days. Which allowed more hands to help, more ideas, more critique, and a design that worked.
After my partner and myself got a new group member the three of us looked to find out what we wanted and what would make this dress look more like a weeding gown and not for a Golden Globe awards' gown. Together we thought taking off the shoulder pads, long tuxedo train and the deep v would allow the dress to look more elegant instead of avant garde. Within those few minutes of redesigning our dress i learned that line placement and design play a huge role in the outcome of a garment. In particular i learned that line gives direction to a design and break larger areas in to smaller ones. Lines also create movement, carrying the eyes across, down, up, etc. there are also many forms of line like vertical, horizontal, diagonal ,and curved. All of which i knew prior to this lab but did not know it played a huge part in fashion, i my elf will not look at fashion the same.with that being said as a group we created an optical illusion that allowed the eye to make whom ever wear this seem taller. this is because of line. line also allowed us to make our garment move the eye to make the hips seem larger. Overall with the help of brainstorming and knowledge of line our group made huge progress with our design.
At the very last day in other person was added to our group, personally it was great to have the extra opinion and hands. unfortunately we did not get the chance to agree on the dress. the critiquing process was a great way to deliberate the individuals work effort and the groups ability to work together, with that being said it was much harder for my group to work for we started with only two people everyone else had 4. Not to complain but to make our work seem even more spectacular as wee had to work twice as hard to get our outcome. Our Group Mistakes such as designs and in ability to make a team decision, our accomplishments on finishing our dress and dedicated team effort made and beaked us. Thankfully we as a group made the dress on paper a reality.
